System Links Hospital with labs, health agency

Recently, a medical technician at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center was running tests on the blood of a patient when something unusual cropped up. "We saw a malarial parasite on a patient", said Barton Adiar, St. Mary's laboratory director.

Nebraska Telehealth Network
In Nebraska, remote health care and public health institutions may not have access to high speed networks. However, they have the option to be connected through the Nebraska Statewide Telehealth Network.
The STATPack™ system provides a means to integrate with this important service improving the quality, availability and accessibility of healthcare throughout the State of Nebraska.
Laboratories currently using STATPack™ via the Telehealth Network are Norfolk, Grand Island, Scottsbluff, Kearney, Fremont, O'Neill, Auburn, Beatrice, Alliance.
